This week, I only have three events to report on, with Mother Nature once again depriving me of my Sunday night fun. On Friday I took a rare night off , from my usual visit to the Mohawk International Raceway, in favour of a restaurant supper with my close friend Lisa.
Don’t worry ! , I was back in action on Saturday night at the Brockville Ontario Speedway.
It was more or less a regular night of racing, except for a 25 lap Rookie Feature.
That turned out to be 25 laps of torture, as we endured caution after caution. The eventual winner was Yan Racine.
The rest of the nights racing was pretty good stuff with Brian McDonald winning the Mods, Shane Pecore the Sportsman, Jamie Young the Rookie Sportsman, and Derek Cryderman the Street Stocks.
On Sunday it was no surprise when I learned that the evening races at the Cornwall Motor Speedway had been cancelled yet again. Heavy rain in Cornwall , throughout the day meant the fourth rain out of the season.
After a few days of dry weather, the grounds of the Cornwall Motor Speedway were good enough for Tuesday’s Kart night at the Dirt Raceway Park.
I went along to socialize, and take some pics.
Amongst the winners were Shane Bourgon in the Dirt Demons and Mathew Robidoux, son of Modified driver Kayle in the Box Stock Karts.
I was back out watching the Dirt Demons and Karts on Wednesday too , after I drove straight from work to the Brockville Ontario Speedway.
There were nine Dirt Demons in attendance, and once they hit the track, I gained a new track for my TRACKCHASING totals. The Brockville Ontario Speedway ‘Inner Oval’ became TRACK # 212
