Rain , Rain, Rain (29th May 2025 BLOG )
This will probably be one of the shortest BLOGS I’ve done, as once again rain has decimated the racing in my area.
It all began on Thursday the 22nd of May when the Airborne Park Speedway at Plattsburgh NY had to cancel their show.
On Friday , the much looked forward to , season opener at the Mohawk International Raceway NY, went the same way.
I woke on Saturday morning to read the on line post from the Brockville Ontario Speedway, saying they were pulling the plug on their evening show.
The rain kept coming and on Sunday the 25th May , the Cornwall Motor Speedway , lost their second consecutive show.
The whole weekend was obliterated.
Monday started off nice and sunny as I looked forward to my first visit of the year to the weekly ‘Dock Syde Cruise’ in Morrisburg. I polished up the Thunderbird and I set off .
I was just leaving Cornwall when I noticed how dark the sky ahead was looking. I decided to turn around , but not quick enough to get home before being caught in a huge thunderstorm.
Finally it stayed dry enough on Wednesday to attend the weekly Cruise Night of the Cornwall Olde Car Club .

There was a good turn out , at the usual spot at the Royal Canadian Air Force Club beside the river.

Thanks to Sam Gail Petrie for this nice shot.
